A Platform Built for Surgeons

Restore structural support. Preserve surgical simplicity.

The Freedom® PCK® Metaphyseal Cone System is a 3D-printed titanium solution designed to restore structural support in both primary and revision knee arthroplasty. A highly porous outer lattice promotes long-term cementless fixation, while the stepped external geometry resists subsidence and rotational loosening.

Purpose-built to address tibial bone defects, the system provides a stable foundation that enhances implant support in compromised bone, maintaining the surgical reliability the Freedom® Knee platform is known for.

Key Features

Engineered for reliable revision outcomes.

Six design pillars that work in unison, from biological fixation to surgical efficiency.

3D-Printed Porous Lattice

Ti6Al4V ELI lattice replicates the porosity of cancellous bone — 60% porosity, 470 µm pore size — for durable cementless metaphyseal fixation.

Stepped External Geometry

A stepped outer profile resists subsidence and rotational loosening for dependable support in compromised tibial bone.

Seven Size Options

5 mm M/L increments from 25 mm to 60 mm cover a wide range of defect sizes and complexities.

Keel Relief Slots

Wide relief slots interface with the fins and keel of the Freedom® Knee Tibial Baseplate, enabling independent, optimized positioning without over-constraint.

±15° Rotational Freedom

Intraoperative rotational freedom relative to the tibial baseplate, with laser-etched markings to visualize and dial in cone orientation.

Ream-and-Broach Technique

Bone-preserving ream-and-broach workflow with streamlined, intuitive instrumentation achieves secure metaphyseal engagement.

Design at a Glance

Anatomic geometry, reduced to the essentials.

  • A. Outer M/L width. Elliptical design scales larger in the medial-lateral than anterior-posterior, optimizing implant fit and load distribution; seven sizes from 25–60 mm.
  • B. Cone height. Stepped geometry enhances proximal-distal stability and resists subsidence and rotational loosening in compromised tibial bone.
  • C. Inner cavity. A large internal diameter with solid inner cavity accepts a cement mantle and accommodates larger stem options for added construct stability.
  • D. Stepped external geometry. Each step is wrapped in a 3D-printed porous scaffold — approximately 1 mm thick, 60% porosity, 470 µm pore size — that replicates cancellous bone for biological fixation.

“PCK® Cones complete our revision knee offering, giving surgeons the stable metaphyseal scaffold they need for addressing bone defects, while maintaining the surgical simplicity and reliability the Freedom® Knee platform is known for.”
