The Libertas® HA Stem is designed to deliver immediate mechanical stability followed by durable biological integration. Built on a titanium alloy platform and enhanced with plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite, this stem is engineered to optimize cancellous bone compression while supporting long-term fixation.
It is a fixation strategy built around bone response.
Why Hydroxyapatite (HA)
Hydroxyapatite is chemically similar to the mineral component of human bone. When applied to a titanium substrate, it provides a biologically active surface that encourages rapid bone ongrowth.
The Libertas HA Stem utilizes Hydroxyapatite coating, creating a surface designed to accelerate biological fixation while maintaining strong mechanical adhesion to the implant.
Coating specifications include:
- Surface roughness: Rt > 30 μm
- Coating thickness: 150 ± 40 μm
- Adhesion strength: ≥ 15 MPa
- Crystallinity: ≥ 60%
